Chickering Piano #233371

(Sold)

Established in 1823, Chickering was one of the most highly respected makers of the American piano industry. Four Chickerings have resided in the White House, including Abraham Lincoln's personal Chickering Grand, serial number 5070. The Chickering company continued making pianos in their East Rochester, New York, plant until 1982, after which they were made overseas for several years before finally disappearing. Any American-made Chickering should be considered a great find.

Status: This piano has been sold and delivered to its new home in Lake Bluff, Illinois.
