Baldwin Piano #1174679

While founded in 1862, Baldwin Piano & Organ Co. did not actually start building pianos until 1890. Throughout most of the twentieth century, the company was highly respected as one of the most successful and financially stable piano companies in the United States. Their instruments produced before around 1980 are considered to be of premium quality. The company is now owned by Gibson Guitar Corporation and all instruments are manufactured in China. The spinet and console pianos, traditionally marketed under the brand Acrosonic, were the "working man's" piano, reasonably priced and built like tanks.

Status: This piano has been sold and delivered to its new home in Lake Forest, Illinois.
